Rachel & Russell
Rachel and Russell’s Disney themed Halloween wedding at Apton Hall in Essex was an absolute joy to be part of.
Not only are they both crazy about each other but Rachel had THE biggest smile all day.
I love how they pulled in their top geekery by including their undeniable love of Disney with themed tables, Disney tracks playing during the reception and of course their Mickey/Minnie ears for the evening celebrations.
They invited everyone to get in the Halloween spirit by dressing up and I have to say the lengths some guests went to was epic!
I really enjoyed the ceremony conducted by Rachel’s families Rabbi, for me what I loved about the Jewish ceremony was how personal it was. You can tell that Rachel and her family were thought of very fondly by their Rabbi. The stories he shared showed how well he knew Rachel and how much he enjoyed her quirky spin on things. With readings from the mums and Russell’s siblings it was a celebration of love and family.
Another touch I love was that although Dobby their dog couldn’t be included physically on the day he was represented by a cardboard version and they had a very talented canvas artist present with a design she made of Dobby for all the guests to paint. I can’t wait to see the finished artwork once the lining strips have been removed. I think it is going to look amazing in their home.
Kudos to the team at Apton Hall who made sure everything went smoothly and nothing was too much trouble. They were wonderful.
