Ally & Alex
Ally and Alex held their chilled out Pheasantry Brewery wedding on a beautiful sunny spring day. The venue was the perfect setting for everybody to relax and soak up the surrounding countryside.
These guys are the loveliest people, so much so that even the registrar Trevor (Who, by the way was amazing…..Nottinghamshire should be proud!) took the time to sing their praises. They are very chilled out and easy to be around and so it was no surprise to me that their wedding was so relaxed. But of course they had to keep the guests on their toes…..so Daisy, Ally’s niece, as an inflatable dinosaur ring bearer did just the job!
These guys had quite the journey from first meeting to marrying and Trevor put it so well by saying they actually have had four first kisses. They chose their 5th year anniversary as the date for their wedding (I do love a personal date!). Having known each other as friends for many years, even having been on a date around 2013 and deciding they were better off as friends (Clearly not!) they finally got together during Covid times when they bubbled up for walks and realised that actually there was more than just friendship there.
What was really special was that, because they have been friends for so many years, many of their friends are actually friends with both of them. Including the best man, who delivered the most heartfelt speech….ending something like “I hope you both make each other as happy as you’ve made me over the years”…..how lovely is that!
Huge kudos to Pheasantry Brewery who were so relaxed yet efficient, everything ran like clockwork but without it feeling forced or pressured…..that’s quite a skill!
