James & Aby
James and Aby’s alternative wedding took place at the blank canvas that is The Rest in Kings Stanley, Gloucestershire. The worked extremely hard to perfect all the details, decorating it with a leopard print and disco balls theme throughout and keeping the autumnal vibes in the colour palette.
These two lovely humans met via a Facebook dating group that Aby setup and was the administrator for. James signed up for the group but admin needed to approve his membership. As soon as Aby saw him she made a claim for him and they started dating. She wasn’t going to let this absolute catch get away. These two absolutely adore each other, the both light up when they are around each other which is VERY clear to see in the photographs.
Their ceremony was at Stroud Registry Office and I have to credit them with being so lovely and accommodating, it makes such a huge difference when we can all work as a team together.
James was walked down the aisle by his two beautiful daughters which was such a sweet touch and an honour for them to walk their dad in to his ceremony. I will never forget James’ face when he saw Aby when she came down the aisle….but then who wouldn’t think wow! She looked radiant, great big grin on her face!
After the ceremony we headed off to their favourite local pub for a quiet drink so they could take in the moment together before I left them to get the guests ready to greet them on arrival at The Rest.
After some quick group shots it was time to get tattooed, Aby and James opted for matching leaves and then opened up the space for other people who fancied getting inked to celebrate the big day. Â
After a delicious grazing platter from Oh So Grazey the guests were treated to the opportunity to have their tarot read as well as some delicious fish and chips from James’ companies van and marshmallows toasted over the outdoor firepits.
The Party Punks DJ’s kept people dancing and the vibe going…..thanks lads!
