Stacey and Jonnie held their classic Lake District wedding at Lindeth Howe hotel. A stunning venue with amazing interior details set in three acres of grounds. Not only that but it has some rather wonderful history as it was the home that Beatrix Potter bought for her mother.
It is the perfect venue for couples who want to relax and just enjoy their day, who don’t want a blank canvas to have to decorate. It is beautiful inside and out meaning you really don’t need to add anything and the staff are superb; efficient and friendly. What more could you want.
Stacey and Jonnie met nearly three decades ago and were friends ever since until around 2021 when they decided to give it a go and just look where it ended up!!
When they first got in touch I knew I wanted to be part of their day. They said “There will be no big show, just a group of people having a party with a couple of wedding rings and a certificate thrown in.” how wonderfully relaxed does that sound!!
They absolutely pulled it off, everyone was chatting, mingling and having a great time. The drinks were flowing and there was plenty of food for everyone to make sure they enjoyed the day. I love the connection between these two old friends, you can see their love is so deeply rooted. Jonnie not only adores Stacey but also her sassy (and awesome) daughter Eadie who certainly rules over her cousins who are all boys!
The day was everything I thought it would be. I particularly enjoyed the swift wedding justice dealt out by the kangaroo court. They dealt firm but fair penalties to all they felt needed pulling up on their behaviour! Oh and we were even treated to an unexpected flyover from the Red Arrows!
