Charlie & Chris – The Party

So you’ve already seen the sneak peeks of Charlie and Christopher’s gorgeous intimate wedding in Bakewell well here is the second part of their wedding. The party!!

Colourful, vibrant, fun…..a real celebration.

People travelled from far and wide to celebrate with these guys….it truly was wonderful.

All the details were lovingly crafted by the wedding team that Charlie had put together and I have to congratulate them….it looked amazing.

What I really loved was that after spending time with the families on Tuesday I felt like part of the family when Friday rolled around. Although I’m sure Christopher’s mum was glad when me and my pesky camera headed home ūüėČ

For the first time I’ve was called an emotional terrorist….I think I love that and might use it from now on….thanks Charlie

If these photo’s don’t make you smile then I don’t know what will…..

Sarah and Will Got Married ~ A Preview 24.08.14

Yesterday was the beautiful wedding of Sarah and Will at¬†Poundon House. I have never visited the venue before but I was blown away when I arrived…..soooo much beauty and photo potential….I was like a kid in a sweet shop!

Sarah was radiant and her happiness and excitement shone through all day and I love that Will was totally all over the dance floor action. Check out the pics for the full story….oooh and just look at how much Mac, their special guest (their gorgeous dog), loves them….he was so excited to see them.

Thank you so much to the wonderful team at Poundon House, Sarah and Will and their brilliant friends and family who made us feel very comfortable and welcome and also to the ever awesome Jamie Waters Photography for being a legend of a 2nd shooter.

Janey and Pete Got Married ~ A Preview 23.08.14

Yesterday was the beautiful, fun, wedding of Janey and Pete. Right from the very first email these guys have shown nothing but warmth and excitement and when i arrived on the day they were no different. They made sure I had everything I could possibly want and that we were looked after.

During prep I proceeded to fall in love with Janey’s family, her no nonsense but hilarious sister Luce, Her lovely mum Dickey (who cracked me up with the line “I wonder if I have time to milk the cows”….Farmville peeps will get that one), her somewhat dashing brother Pete, her lovely, very British gentleman dad Douglas and let’s not forget the enchanting Dickens….he’s the one in the bow tie!

Normally I don’t get so much time to get a feel for the family but prep yesterday was a whole different thing, everyone popping in and out….it really felt like home. Well as it happens the venue, the gorgeous St Richards School in Bromyard has been home to Dicky for many many years and Janey and her brother and sister all attended it. It is such a wonderful and welcoming place, chock full of original 50’s school desks….it just has this wonderful, slightly eccentric (in a good way), British feel to it. What a great place to hold your wedding.

They were married in a heartfelt Catholic ceremony in the chapel and then headed on to the lawns for drinks. Yesterday the weather was a bit mental so there were a few occasions where people were dashing for shelter but if only added to the fun!

I had such an amazing day yesterday…..Janey and Pete were open to anything. So when my little excited face appeared in front of them just before they were due to do their speeches and pleaded with them to push their speeches back to get shots in the epic sunset they agreed and even ran up the road to the field to ensure we caught it in time…..AMAZING!!

Thank you so much for a truly wonderful day Janey and Pete, huge thanks to your family and friends for accepting us as part of the day and a special mention to my seriously good 2nd shooter Scuffins Photography for being my wing man.

Sharelle and Ben Got Married ~ A Preview 14.06.14

SharelleBenAssassynation-10057Yesterday was the beautiful, DIY wedding of Sharelle and Ben. They were married at Bodicote House in a really emotional ceremony (alright, yes, I cried!!) and then headed over to Hadsham Farm (a gorgeous venue for a wedding) for a right royal knees up.

They had spent the whole of the day before (along with lots of helpers) getting everything looking right. The have been crafting and building all the details for months in preparation for this day and man oh man….it looked gorgeous!! I have to say that if ever there was a wedding that I want to be a kid at this was it.

All of the kids had presents, things to do, tons of toys to play with and some even made use of some empty boxes to make sledges! The main emphasis of the day was fun….and boy was it!! I loved getting to share their day with them and their lovely family and friends and I have to say I was very tempted to steal Martha, their lovely littleCockapoo…..she’s so cute and has the best snore ever!!. Thanks to Charlie for being my fantastic assistant on the day.

Rachel and David Got Married ~ A Preview 17.05.2014

RachelDavidAssassynation-10058Yesterday was the beautiful, sunny, wedding of Rachel and David in the truly stunning Yorkshire Dales.

My awesome 2nd shooter Craig Dearsley Photo and I headed up north at a ridiculous hour and found ourselves in a sunny paradise. The reception was at the amazing Traddock Hotel with a church ceremony just a short walk away. Rachel first found me at the wedding fair I run (Eclectic Wedding Extravaganza) which is a show like no other, designed specifically for unique couples like these guys.

Rachel and David opted for orange, blue and pastels for their colour scheme and I have to say they totally rocked it! The day was so much fun, everyone there really brought the party and the weather just boosted spirits further.

Craig even hit the dance floor…..to be fair he doesn’t need much encouragement. That’s enough chat from me, please take a moment to check out the whopping 69 sneak peeks!!
