So it’s that time of year where I take a few moments to reflect on the previous year’s adventures. When you are in the year you are going from awesome moment to awesome moment with no time to really take everything in so it’s really nice (and a little bit of a big job) to pop this year’s round up together.
Here’s some amazing things I got to see this year…..in no particular order…..
- A zip lining best man
- A groom in a gold suit….I shit you not!!
- An amazing vow renewal in the woods where everybody cried….including me!
- A groom with leopard print boots….oh and his bride wore leopard print shoes…..Ummmm yes!!
- The AMAZING work being done by Childreach to rebuild the schools damaged by earthquakes in Nepal.
- Two incredible tea ceremonies…Chinese weddings rule!!
- My first ever typhoon in Hong Kong
- A traditional Nepalese blessing where we were welcomed with open arms in to a families home and got to learn about their culture.
- Darth vader playing beer pong!!
- A back to the future Delorean….which if you know me you’ll know I LOVED!
- A bride popping out to feed her lamb during the reception….as you do!!
- Two of my couples new addition’s to their family in all their cuteness
- Shot two incredible shoots with some of the most talented bods in the wedding industry.
- Had the honour of speaking to 100 (ish) photographers at the SNAP photography festival….it was both terrifying and life changing! Thank you to everyone who turned up to hear me blab on!
- Two of THE best grooms reactions EVER!!
- Some excellent moves on the dance floor
- Beloved pets, beautiful babies and crazy kids!
Plus much much more!!!
I want to say a huge thank you to all the couples who have welcomed me in to their families and lives for that one amazing day. Because of you I get the honour of doing a job that I love so much and trust me I don’t take this lightly.
I know there’s a lot but I would LOVE it if you took a little look through my gallery by clicking the image below!! (If you spot yourself or someone you know why not even give it a little share!!

This is the beautiful and classically British wedding of Julia and James. I started out the morning at Julia’s mum and dad’s beautiful house where I could see lots of creativity and I just knew that would flow through to the wedding. Julia’s mum designed the stationary, Order of service, table plan and place cards for the big day and it was truly beautiful. I love the little personal touches and bits that are crafted with love by loved ones and you could see the effort Julia’s mum made with these.
The ceremony and celebrations took place at the ever beautiful Pembroke Lodge in Richmond Park. I love this venue. Not only is it gorgeous but the staff are always amazing!! Everything was absolutely perfect.
The ceremony was really beautiful and very heartfelt….there may even have been a little tear in my eye!! I think James was very excited to have married his girl!
One thing I will remember forever is the huge outpouring of love at this wedding….oh and the speeches…they were hilarious!!!
As I often like to do we left the majority of the couple shots until later in the day so that Julia and James could relax and enjoy some time with their lovely guests and it was lovely to head off together for those shots after the meal….although the walk back up to the lodge nearly killed this little photographer….time to join a gym I think!!

Khui and Nan’s wedding was amazing!
I started the morning with a spot of bridal prep in Nan’s parents lovely home. There were a few people there but I was so warmly welcomed and I felt at home very quickly. Nan’s mum stole my heart, she’s only little in stature but man is she big in personality. She even walked me around her beautiful garden.
Khui and Nan opted to marry at the stunning Belair House in Dulwich (yes I did have the theme tune to the The Fresh Prince of Bel Air in my head all day). I’ve never visited this venue before and it won me over. The venue is gorgeous and the staff are so friendly.
After the ‘I do’s!’ Nan changed in to her traditional Chinese robes and they held a tea ceremony. This was my first time shooting one and I absolutely loved it.
We then all headed over to Docklands for a Chinese feast. At this point all the rest of the guests joined so there were over 200 people for Khui and Nan to speak to. I don’t know how they did it but they managed to make it around everybody. During the meal Khui and Nan went around every table and had a toast. So many happy faces and love. AMAZING.
Thank you so much Khui and Nan for allowing me to share your day and for being so fantastic whenever I wanted to steal you for couple shots. Thank you to your family and friends who made myself and Rowan feel so welcome and to the lovely guests on our table who we really enjoyed chatting to during the meal.
More Chinese weddings please…..all smiles, hugs and delicious food!

Laura and Jack’s wedding was beautiful and super low key wedding. This pair met online and fell in love prompting the lovely Laura to up sticks and move to that there London.
These guys are totally head over heels for each other, you can see it in their faces when they look at each other. Jack is super laid back and this really calms Laura when she’s feeling nervous….I saw that first hand on the wedding day when she was reunited with him.
They really are soul mates and it was an honour to have been part of their intimate wedding day. These guys opted to have a small wedding followed by some food and drinks at a local pub where they could mingle and enjoy time with the people that mean so much to them.
They decided that rather than have a party in the evening they would head to a swanky London hotel for time with their favourite person, each other….these guys are just way too cute!
Thank you Laura and Jack for a wonderful day and to your friends and family for making me feel like part of it all 🙂

Yesterday was the beautiful Alice and her gorgeous South African fella, Mark’s big day. I always look forward to a wedding where South African’s are involved….they know how to celebrate and this group were no different!
The ceremony took place at the ever stunning Asylum before moving on to Brunswick House for the celebrations….both are truly amazing venues but my favourite place of all was actually Alice’s mum’s house….it was an artistic haven in the city…I could have photographed there all day!
The weather was doing it’s usual crazy thing, from sunny and warm through snow to rain and back again….oddness!! But it did pull itself together for the important outside moments….thank fully!
After the delicious meal Alice and Mark surprised the guests with Mr.B The Gentleman Rhymer who was INCREDIBLE…..now I want to have a party just so I can get him to come and perform some chap hop!
The key thing for Alice and Mark was that their friends and family had a lovely day….and these guys totally nailed the throwing a wedding thing!!
Thank you so much Alice and Mark for a great time and of course to your family and friends for making me and Sam feel so welcome
